I'm feeling supersonic, give me gin and tonic
You can have it all, but how much do you want it?

As we all know, according to the Gallagher brothers themselves, Oasis are bigger than the Beatles -and the Beatles are bigger than Jesus! While that all remains up for debate, we actually recorded this before the current mega-stadium tour was even announced. To me, it's a bizarre coincidence that this track is coming out just days before Oasis play two sold-out stadium shows in Toronto, which is our stomping grounds.
I first learned about OASIS back in the day when I was at university and one of my uncles sent me Definitely Maybe. For years, I performed Live Forever and Wonderwall at open stages on campus but I had never played Supersonic. In fact, I didn't even know all the words but I always loved the melodies and the sound of the lyrics so it was fascinating, as a fan, to do a real “deep-dive” musical analysis while creating this.
As ever, I recorded most of my parts at the Hamilton Public Library and sent parts down to my friend Dan Konopka from OK Go to record his drums in Nashville at a pretty hip studio. He brought a lively energy to the track as we both agreed that this song is awesome. I then called my friend Brian Vegas in Toronto to add some further guitars and there you have it! Great song performed by some great guys!
