Lyrics
I sailed away In a small tin boat
A heart barely healed
A soul full of hope
I watched the waves
Gently lap at the hull
My eyes were bright
But my mind was dull
I saw the fish in neat, bright shoals
They pulled me up from a deep black hole
They pulled me up from a deep black hole
I grabbed the oars
Gave a heave
Started to think and began to believe
I rowed and rowed
The bow did plough
I focused on the here and now
I focused on the here and now
I saw a sand drift pure, pristine
It made me smile
It made me dream
And just beyond a small, white isle
Made up my mind to stop a while
I reached the shallows
Hauled my boat
Found a place where I could cope
I found a place where I could cope
I laid upon the cool, white sand
Looked up at palm fronds spread like fans
I sat right back and I closed my eyes
I drifted off with a long, deep sigh
I drifted off with a long, deep sigh
